Samira Ahmed and Danielle Stockton Join Rich Feuer Anderson
WASHINGTON, D.C., October 1, 2015 – Rich Feuer Anderson (“RFA”) is pleased to announce two new members of its bipartisan team of government affairs professionals serving financial services clients.
Samira Ahmed is joining RFA on October 5th as Senior Policy Manager.
Ms. Ahmed comes to RFA from the office of Senator Gary Peters (D-MI), where she most recently served as Legislative Aide for financial services. In this role, she advised the Senator on a range of issues and policies related to the financial services industry, including banking, securities, tax and regulatory reform. She also acted as liaison between Michigan businesses and Federal agencies. Ms. Ahmed also worked for Senator Peters when he served in the House of Representatives.
Prior to her work for Senator Peters, Ms. Ahmed worked on the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI) staff of Chairman Carl Levin (D-MI). During her stint on PSI, Ahmed worked on a number of complex investigations, co-authored reports and helped prepare for Subcommittee hearings.
“Having Samira on our team will help us expand our policy and political reach to benefit our clients. Samira’s experience, legal background and strong interpersonal skills will provide an immediate boost to our ability to advocate for our clients’ interests,” said RFA founding Principal Mitchell Feuer.
Danielle Stockton joined the firm earlier this year as Policy Analyst.
Ms. Stockton came to RFA from the Senate Banking Committee where she worked on the staff of Ranking Member Mike Crapo (R-ID) as a Research Assistant. Ms. Stockton worked on a broad spectrum of banking and financial issues, including housing finance reform, financial sanctions, financial interactions with Pacific Rim countries and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Stockton also brings campaign experience from her time at the Republican National Committee (RNC). Earlier in her career, she worked for Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-UT). Ms. Stockton began her career in Washington working for Senator John McCain (R-AZ).
Danielle’s strong analytical skills and knowledge of the relationship between politics and policy have helped build on our ability to deliver for our clients – we are excited to have Danielle as part of the RFA team, said firm principal, John Anderson.
“Rounding out our team with the addition of Samira and Danielle strengthens our firm's commitment to the bipartisan, substantive and results-oriented service we have provided our clients for over a decade, we are thrilled to have them join us” said RFA founding principal Peter Rich.
